Meditations on the Love of God | Part Four

– Charles Ikutiminu

The Unconditional Love of God is my Worth

John 12
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

The Word ‘draw’ means to suck, to suction in.

In a waste water treatment system human waste from various households is sucked in and processed. The physical sludge is removed, the biological contamination is removed, the chemical contamination removed and the end product is water pure enough to drink.

As I meditated on this, I felt God tell me that Jesus became the waste water treatment system for humanity on the cross. The Holy God who was rich yet for our sakes became poor sucked into His Being, into His spotless undefiled Sprit all humanity’s junk, covetousness, shame, lust. He sucked into His Being, all of our sins into Himself and because He gave Himself unto sin, darkness had legal grounds to hold Him and take Him to hell.

The punishment that you and I should have taken for eternity in the darkness and bleakness of being separated from God, He yielded Himself a sacrifice for sin and He said if you will put faith in His sacrifice, you will be quickened – made alive and come back into God’s original plan where you become the focal point of His love.
Made whole and holy by His love, where guilt, shame, and inferiority has no hold on you, because you are found in Christ, a new creation, and the object of His love.

Christianity is bringing us back to be clothed in God’s love to experience the power of being delivered from shame, guilt, inferiority, and every fear. Why? Because now you are now in Christ – the object and the focal point of God’s love, the object for which He constantly expends His lavish gift giving of the abundance of His grace.

Inferiority and shame for the believer is a function of ignorance. If you are in Him, and have accepted His Love, then there is love spilling from His heart to yours, daily downloads you should be experiencing from Him. Actively make withdrawals through the power of his cross, and that’s why He will declare;

1 John 4
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

You were created by love, for love, to love and for love to pass through you. There’s not a problem with a new house or the cell phone, but once something of those things becomes what you define your self-worth by, something of the love of God produces a lack of it, produces nakedness and at some point in time you will struggle with His love.

Christianity is inviting you into experiencing of His love.
