Living in the Kingdom of God | Part Nine

The Law of Faith

It’s important to reiterate that spiritual laws are to be obeyed as we look at more in the scriptures:

Romans 3 (KJV)
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.

God informs us of many spiritual laws in the scriptures and we must take note of them. This verse tells us that “faith” is a spiritual law.

Hebrews 11 (CEV)
1 Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see.

We take God by His word and act on it because of who He is as we have enumerated earlier, that is faith! If we don’t take Him by His words, we are doubting His integrity.
The writer of Hebrews explains why faith is an important law in God’s kingdom:

Hebrews 11 (NKJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

There are many spiritual laws in the Bible which cannot be fully exhausted in this write-up. This is one of the most important laws that impacts directly on the lives of people.

Galatians 6 (NKJV)
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Genesis 8 (NKJV)
22 “While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”

Literarily the verse is speaking of how people will physically plant and harvest crops, but it’s also a spiritual principle that impacts on the spiritual lives of people. Similarly, Jesus said:

Luke 6 (CEV)
38 If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return. It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap. The way you treat others is the way you will be treated.

Many usually relate this verse to giving money alone, it however relates to much more than money! Whatever you give out, attitudinally, materially, spiritually, financially, emotionally, etc. will be given back to you in greater measure.

The laws and principles of the Kingdom are sacrosanct, and it makes good sense to study and obey them as this will bring the concomitant benefits.
