All Things Are Working for My Good

Genesis 50 (The Amplified Bible)
20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but GOD meant it for good in order to bring about this present outcome, that many people would be kept alive [as they are this day].

Genesis 50 (Wycliffe Bible)
20 You thought to do evil to me, but God turned it into good, and he used what you did to me to advance me, as you see at this present time, and by doing so he has saved many people;

Romans 8 (New Living Translation)
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8 (The Voice)
28 We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.

Romans 8 (The Passion Translation)
28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

These scriptures give me so much hope and encouragement. I just want to shout for joy! It doesn’t matter who THEY are, who don’t wish me well. Even if THEY (that is, people who hate you, your own past mistakes and failures, etc.) mean evil against you, GOD means it for good in order to bring about a glorious outcome that will bless many people! No God didn’t cause Joseph’s brothers to treat him so badly, neither is God responsible for the many mistakes we ourselves make to hurt our own selves. But He is able and willing to make it all these things work together for our good and use it to advance us.

Exercise your spiritual muscles by trusting God to work it out beyond your understanding. You don’t understand what God is doing in your life. Days have turned to months and months to years, and yet the affliction continues. Joseph could not have figured out how his life was going to end – how could he have imagined he would go from the pit to the prison, and then from the prison to the palace in one day? Neither will you or anyone else be able to figure out where your life will end up in Jesus name, hallelujah! Like Joseph, God gives us a great destiny that is beyond us. My destiny will not elude me and nobody will be able to figure it out – not even me! The journey takes us beyond our comfort zone to build up character, patience, godliness and all the other skill sets that we will need to use in our next levels.

Where did Joseph learn:
– To be a good administrator?
– To handle and work with the best and the worst of people in society?
– To bridle his emotions and his passions?
– To forgive and not oppress those beneath me?
– To resist temptation?
– To submit to authority?

He learned it all IN SLAVERY & IN PRISON! The chances of him learning all this as the pampered, spoiled child of his father were very slim! How did he get to the top? All these things we’ve been sharing are the steps that got him there.
